Military Organization

Seeks to determine the effects of mechanization and aviation on military organizations since 1918. Developments since that time have caused many changes in military organizations. Armored, airborne and mechanized divisions, reconnaissance, fighter, bomber and troop carrier wings have been organized and horse Cavalry and horse drawn artillery have been all but abandoned. The idea of the nation in arms has been intensified. Quality has not reduced the need for quantity or mass. The importance and difficulty of logistical support has increased. Training requirements, especially technical training has increased and the need for and the importance of defense has increased.
