One book. Three complete stories. This omnibus edition combines three previously published Max E. James paperbacks into a single full-length volume.

Meet Max E. James and his big brother Cody in this laugh-out-loud three-story chapter book omnibus packed with summer fun, birthday chaos, and brotherly teamwork!

In Beach Bound, Max faces his biggest fear yet - wiping out in the waves - while trying to prove he's brave enough to ride the surf.

In Birthday Bash Parts I & II, Max's long-awaited birthday turns into a hilarious showdown of wishes, rival teams, and party surprises that don't go quite as planned.

With short chapters, relatable family moments, and humor kids love (and parents appreciate), this omnibus is perfect for:

  • reluctant readers
  • bedtime read-alouds
  • kids who love funny, real-life adventures

If your child enjoys books like Junie B. Jones, Magic Tree House, Flat Stanley, or Stink, they'll feel right at home with Max E. James.

Industry Reviews

I just started reading chapter books with my 5 year old son recently. These books are hysterical, my son and nephew who is 7 were on the floor laughing with some of the antics. A quick and fun read aloud, I read to them and we finished in two sessions now we are waiting for Birthday Bash Part 2 to arrive in the mail.

Great children's book that reflects life experiences, growing up in child hood. The author present this work in a fun and an entertaining way.

My eight-year-old daughter loves this book!

SO refreshing to read a book where family values are paramount with parents taking time to do things with their kids. Meet Max and his big brother, Cody. The boys are typical kids: they get their words mixed up once in a while and also get into mischief.

I've purchased the entire series and although every story is different, my reviews generally share the same theme. Fun story, I used it for bedtime reading. Great pace, nice cliffhangers, some humorous moments for adults too.
