Three hilarious adventures. One unforgettable brother duo.

This action-packed chapter book collection follows Max E. James and his big brother Cody as they compete, explore, and laugh their way through everyday adventures that feel anything but ordinary.

In Fishing Fever, the boys set out to catch a legendary monster fish.

In Winter Wipeout, a massive snowfall sparks a snow-day dilemma with no sleds and no hills - until plans take an unexpected turn.

In Crash Course, sibling rivalry explodes when video-game bragging rights are on the line... and Mom and Dad have a better idea.

With fast-moving chapters, big laughs, and relatable family moments, this omnibus is perfect for:

⢠elementary-aged readers

⢠kids who prefer funny over fantasy

⢠parents looking for engaging bedtime reads

A great fit for fans of Stink, Flat Stanley, and Junie B. Jones.

Industry Reviews

Love this author!!! So fun! Thank you!!

This was a gift for a young boy and he loves the book.

Great children's book that reflects life experiences, growing up in child hood. The author present this work in a fun and an entertaining way.

Our family loves the Max E. James series, and Fishing Fever is no exception. When we started the series, my eight-year-old daughter was really into it. While my five-year-old son was interested, he didn't hang on every word like my daughter did. That changed with Fishing Fever. Both kids hovered over the book as I read it, demanding I read more, and pulling the book away to see the pictures.

My three year old son loves it! A really cute ending as well. An easy read for young kiddos.

Fun story, I used it for bedtime reading. Great pace, nice cliffhangers, some humorous moments for adults too. I liked the point of view of the youngest child, and offered examples of raising 2 high energy boys...the parents allow some slack to let them explore and make mistakes, while also setting boundaries and discipline.
