The things of this world have a way of pulling us away from God and our faith. It happened to me. Weekly church services were the first to fall, prayers were the next casualty, only said sporadically, and living the life God calls us to live was next. I was not in a good place. Sure, I believed in God, but I made little effort to have a relationship with him.

For me, these lost spiritual years thankfully ended during the Easter season of 2023. I felt something encouraging me to return to my faith. It wasn't a voice, a physical presence, or a sign in the sky, it was just a strong feeling. I tried to shrug it off, but it was persistent and would not be ignored. Looking back, I can't help but think of Jesus' parable of the Lost Sheep in the Bible. He came looking for me.

Lost Lamb is the result of a restless night nine months after that Easter season. My mind wouldn't settle. Thoughts, words, and images of the things that I had learned (or relearned) upon returning to my faith, swirled around me.

This book contains those thoughts from that night. I am sharing them with the other lost lambs out there with the hope that they are helpful. I told my sister that if just one person is helped in their journey to return to God by reading this book, it would be a beautiful thing.

All royalties from the Lost Lamb will go to the children of Uganda.
