In an era where education must bridge the gap between knowledge and employability, Linking Theory to Practice: Ecosystems in the Competency-Based Curriculum explores how internship programs serve as a critical link between academic learning and real-world application. Focusing on the United States International University-Africa (USIU-A), this insightful book examines how internships cultivate essential competencies that prepare students for the workforce. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research uncovers the experiences, challenges, and transformative impact of work-integrated learning on students, educators, and industry stakeholders alike. At the heart of this study is a call for stronger collaboration between academia and industry to expand internship opportunities and enhance employability through a competency-based approach. Whether you're an educator, policymaker, employer, or student, this book offers valuable insights into reshaping education for a future-ready workforce.
