Twelve short essays by Professor Terry Stevens celebrate a dozen of his favourite and best-loved locations from around Wales, delving into their history and narrating their part in the story of Wales. His choices include soaring mountaintops, ancient monuments, modern architecture that defies tradition, and timeworn land, carved by Wales' famous rivers. AUTHOR: Professor Terry Stevens is the founder of the multi-award winning international tourism consultancy, Stevens & Associates. A Welsh speaker, Terry has worked in tourism for over thirty years, beginning with a position at the Wales Tourist Board. Before starting his consultancy, he worked as the Director of Tourism for West Glamorgan Council, Development Manager for Cadw, and Professor of Tourism Management at Swansea Metropolitan University. Today he spends time running his business advising on tourism development around the world alongside being Professor of Strategic Communications at the School of Management at Swansea University. Terry lives in Loughor, just north of Swansea. He is also a previous winner of the American Express 'Annual Review of Travel' award. 60 photographs
