Many languages adopt words from each other. There are quite a few words in Russian that are borrowed from English or from other European languages. Some of the words are pronounced almost the same as they are pronounced in English. Some words have some small differences in pronunciation, but you still will be able to recognize them.
The purpose of this book is to share the words (almost 2000!) that sound the same (or almost the same) in English and Russian languages and have similar meaning.
You will find here several quizzes with pictures to see if you can recognize Russian word by attempting to pronounce it.
