This volume locates housing at the center of urban thinking today.  The short essays, case studies, and roundtable conversations featured throughout Housing+ position housing as inextricably linked to urbanity and the pursuit of more desirable standards of living for all.

Housing+ investigates how all facets of urbanity are implicated in the making of sustainably designed affordable housing. It draws on the experiences of 32 scholars, designers, and practicing professionals working across the fields of architecture, urban design, planning, and policymaking to situate the eponymous "+" as a harbinger of dialogue between scales, across space, and through time. Offered as a record of MIT's Norman B.
