Hope-frog-ly is a beautifully illustrated story book with a very important life lesson: It is is about a frog who is always hopeful no matter how bad things are. It shows how hope can help you through difficult times and that you should never lose it. In this book 'hopefully' and 'frog' have been put together to make a fun word 'hope-frog-ly' - a frog that is full of hope. The story is set on a farm.

One day Benny the frog is sitting on a water lily leaf floating on a pond. It is far too hot. And the day just gets hotter and hotter.

All the other frogs are getting tired and grumpy in the heat. There are no insects to eat as they are all hiding from the sun. Benny checks the sky but there are no clouds around, so there will be no rain. Even though it does not seem possible, he still hopes for rain to come.

Benny's friend Flo joins him in the pond. She tells Benny that hoping for rain will not change anything - she thinks that hope is a waste of time. Benny disagrees. He feels that hope gives you strength and makes you feel better about things. Flo gets cross with Benny and swims away.

Benny carries on hoping. Hoping for rain. Hoping for a tasty insect to fly by. If things can go better, he's sure that they will go better.

Flo returns and is in a very bad mood. Benny says he is hoping the rain comes soon. Flo starts crying because she does not know how to hope for such things. Benny explains that all she needs to do is hope that what she needs can happen. So Flo gives it a try.

Finally, after a few days, the rain pours down. It is wonderful. Benny and Flo eat a lot and are very grateful. They know that they can get through anything as long as they have hope.

Hope-frog-ly is part of the exciting Farm-tastic series. This is a set of 10 story books for children, with farm animal characters.
