THOMAS JOHNSON'S latest novel is the second book in his must-read ESCAPE FROM APIDAE SERIES, a frightening dystopian tale. Apidae is a perfect land. A pristine hive built with mathematical exactitude and populated by hive units planned for historical human superiority. 

Every hive unit has ideal health and bodies. They have consistent skin, standardized height, and regulated intellect. Life in Apidae is so precisely elevated that it seems impossible anyone would want to escape. Yet William and Isabelle strive to break free. After Isabelle is stricken with a sickness the hive will not cure, William risks everything to obtain banned medicine that will save her. 

William's love for Isabelle drives him onward to the mountainous terrain beyond Rock Valley, which sets their fate permanently in motion. Now the two of them and their hive friend, David, must flee Apidae entirely. In hot pursuit is Milo, the hive's relentless and brutal enforcer, whose sole purpose is to destroy any hive unit that dares to defy hive justice.

William, Isabelle and David, must trek through mountainous terrain filled with natural barriers and dangerous wildlife, such as bears and wolves. As they flee, the evil Milo calls upon every resource Apidae holds to capture them. Milo will do anything to stop them from escaping the hive.
