Shri RÄma was so astonished by HanumÄn's flawless delivery that He praised him as a rare tri-vedi, one who had mastered the Rig, Yajur, and SÄma Vedas. More significantly, RÄma declared these profound words to be auspicious (kalyÄnÄ«m), fluent, amazing, and deeply "pleasing to the heart". So persuasive was this eloquence that RÄma stated: "Whose heart is not moved by these wonderful words... Even an enemy, who has his sword uplifted, would be touched by such words".

HanumÄn's appearance, recognized immediately by RÄma as a deliverer of good things, was the critical moment that secured the alliance and set in motion all of RÄma's objectives.
