Report on excavations from 1986-88 of one of the earliest Neolithic ring ditch sites so far recorded in Britain. Finds inside the ring included assorted flintwork and sherds of Grimston ware, datable to 3770-3650 BC. Tentative conclusions are drawn concerning the relationship of the monument to other henge-related monuments in the area.
