Gas prices - the border crisis - food shortages - COVID-19 - election issues - the gender identity crisis - What else is scaring you?
Fear is everywhere. Everyone is afraid of something. Our world is frightening, too. It's scary economically, politically, socially, you-pick-it scary. And it doesn't look like things will get much better any time soon. We are living in a pandemic of fear.
Fear is a deeply personal thing. Everyone has different fears. Things that scare me to death may not bother you at all. It's a wonder we can sleep at night.
Fear is a four letter word. That's right, it often is nasty and evil, not to mention a tool of the devil. People often are afraid something new or unexpected. Every single time, according to the Bible, the first words angels say to people are "Don't be afraid." There are times to be afraid, there are also times to be bold and courageous. We know God doesn't want us live in fear, but how do we do that? I wrote this book to answer that question.
The antidote to fear is love, and love is often best expressed through encouragement. This book is a collection of short writings based on Scripture which originally appeared on Facebook during 2020 and are designed to encourage and strengthen YOU, no matter what is frightening you now.
This book is written to appeal to anyone who calls themselves a Christian, from Catholics to Evangelicals to Pentecostals and everyone in between.

Carl Borg... draws heavily on Scripture to acknowledge and celebrate God's promises of love, comfort and generous provisions for those who love and keep his commandments. Highly recommend as an easy read to discover timeless and eternal words of comfort, grace, and enduring faith.
