Glaucoma is a set of eye diseases that cause damage to the optic nerve and leads to a loss of vision. It is characterized by high intraocular pressure (IOP). Some types of glaucoma are open-angle glaucoma, normal-tension glaucoma and closed-angle glaucoma.
