She must have been riding twenty feet above the ground when the wave crossed the shoreline and, although it was now breaking, the ship's forward momentum continued. Her hull scraped over the low dunes, coming to rest in the shallow waters of a swamp.A two-year journey ...a lifetime of preparation ...a disaster of unmitigated proportion; caused by forces beyond Hosea's control. How could he now complete the voyage for his king and country? What of the men whose faith in his leadership had remained firm in spite of earlier difficulties they had encountered? This a story about the Age of Discovery. A time that has had its history re-written as more discoveries have unlocked the truth about the first Europeans in Australia. Could this be another time?

Great book I couldn't put it down, well done. Can't wait for a new book. KEVIN - Just finished Ghost Galleon. A bloody good read!!!! Congratulations!!! BEVAN - Geoff Barlow from the Gympie Library gave me your email address and I'm writing to say how much I enjoyed your book. I have been fascinated with the "Spanish" Galleon since my childhood in the 1940s when my grandfather told me the story and gave me a Shell map from the 1930's marking the ship. Then over the years reading all that I could find including Thomas Welsby in the 1890's and an amateurish search from Sweetwater Creek in Swan Bay in the 1960's and another over viewing the area with binoculars from the top of Koureyabba. I have made contact with Greg Jefferys and talked several times to Findlay Andrews of Macleay Island who financed searches during the 1990's. Apart from my interest in the subject your book plausibly told of what might have been, was based on recorded history and very much added to my understanding and enjoyment of our history. I guess that I expected a light weight shallow story and was pleased with how it has added to the lure of the wreck. Hopefully in time she will be found and her story better found. Thank you and keep writing. IAN
