About the Author

Dame Lynley Dodd is a true icon of New Zealand storytelling. Her most famous creation, the Hairy Maclary series, which features a scruffy dog from Donaldson’s Dairy, is a bestselling children’s classic not just in her home country but globally as well. Lynley is a passionate advocate of children’s reading and literacy, and has written more than thirty picture books.
