Fermented Desired

He was engineered to be a weapon. The internet decided he was a snack.

What do you get when you cross unethical genetic experimentation with viral internet fame?

Subject Seven was supposed to be the perfect weapon-a genetically modified super-soldier with enhanced strength, accelerated healing, and absolutely no inconvenient emotions. But when Dr. Cora Ashworth looks at the monster she helped create and sees a person worth saving, she makes a choice that will destroy both their lives: she sets him free.

Now Vlad-as he's chosen to call himself-is on the run with his creator-turned-protector, pursued by a shadowy corporation with unlimited resources and zero moral boundaries. Their only allies? A paranoid conspiracy theorist with questionable hygiene, a traumatized precognitive who speaks in riddles, and two million internet users who've decided that Vlad's green skin and impressive physique make him "Pickle Daddy."

As Cora begins to transform from exposure to the same compounds that created Vlad, they must navigate corporate assassins, cosmic horror, and the unexpected challenges of going viral while very much in love. Because it turns out the real experiment isn't whether you can turn a human into a weapon-it's whether a weapon can choose to be human.

Part thriller, part romance, part absurdist commentary on internet culture, FERMENTED DESIRES is a darkly funny and unexpectedly moving story about what it means to be human when humanity itself is up for negotiation.

"Blade Runner meets The Shape of Water with a dash of Twitter chaos. I couldn't put it down."
