This book synthesizes the most important topics in the fields of extragalactic astrophysics at the advanced undergraduate and graduate level, providing the reader with the foundation and tools for research in any of these areas. It attempts to cover a broad range of topics for a one-semester graduate level class in a physics department where students' available credit hours for astrophysics classes are limited. In the new edition, at least 50 pages of new updated and recent discovery material will be included. Homework questions/problems will be added, together with coverage of new discoveries such as neutrinos detected from a blazar and new gravitational wave detections. The sections on cosmology will also be expanded.
