Enor-mouse is a beautifully illustrated story book with a very important life lesson: It shows the importance of accepting yourself as you are. In this book 'enormous' and 'mouse' have been put together to make a fun word 'enor-mouse' - a mouse that is very, very big. The story is set in a farmhouse.

Joe and his friends love playing in the farmhouse when the people are away. Sometimes the mice squeeze through the small holes in the floor, but Joe is too big to join them. Joe is much bigger than the other mice, he is enor-mouse. Sometimes the other mice tease him and call him Joe the giant. He laughs and pretends not to mind, but his feelings are hurt and he finds it difficult to feel part of the group.

One day he is talking to himself about his wish to be very small. Suddenly he hears a voice - it's Tiny Tom. The little mouse explains that he feels the same way as Joe the giant feels. And that you cannot control what others say but you can control how you feel about it. He also explains that we are all the way we are meant to be. Joe does not agree.

The next day Joe's mother is trying to reach some biscuits on a high shelf. She cannot reach them, but Joe can. Then Tiny Tom gets stuck under a table that has fallen over. The other mice cannot free him, but Joe is big enough and strong enough to lift the table off Tiny Tom. Then the farm cat runs to attack the mice. Joe stands tall and gives the cat a fright, who runs away. Joe the giant realizes that his size helps him in many ways and that we are all just the way we are meant to be.

Enor-mouse is part of the exciting Farm-tastic series. This is a set of 10 story books for children, with farm animal characters. Word play is used to bring an additional element of fun to the books. Each story highlights a valuable lesson, such as the importance of hope, that we all have a purpose, and the power of an imagination. The beautifully illustrated stories will entertain children and encourage them to adopt values and attitudes that will help them in their daily lives.
