Deputy Marshall Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) is exiled to his hometown of Harlan County, Kentucky, after the shooting of a Miami drug cartel hit man raises debate over Givens' renegade style of law enforcement. Unfortunately it isn't long before the people he left behind begin to surface in the most unexpected ways. Givens' new job pursuing prison escapees, fugitive con men and a corrupt local sheriff has never been more intense.

His ultimate adversary is the cunning, complex outlaw Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins), but the real wild card is Ava Crowder (Joelle Carter), the mysterious woman torn between the two men and both sides of the law.

From creator Graham Yost (Band of Brothers) and based on legendary author Elmore Leonard's crime novella "Fire in the Hole," it all leads to a perfectly unexpected final showdown.
