About the Author
Kenny Sams was born in Stockton, California, and he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1972. After getting a taste of shipboard life, he decided to make the Navy his career. Her served on four different destroyers and numerous deployments which included service in Vietnam coastal waters, the Persian Gulf, and the Indian Ocean. His career as a Navy Gunners Mate lasted into 1989 when he left the navy as a Chief Petty Officer.
