TEN YEARS AGO, Braedon Lewis was pulled through a mysterious portal into the underground world of Tartarus. Now, he and particle physicist Gunther Lueschen are on the verge of discovering how to reverse the portals and return to Earth.

Braedon and Gunther are forced to team up with the criminal, Raptor, and his band of mercenaries. Hunting them are the technologically- and genetically-enhanced Guardians from the city of Elysium. The Dehali military and their robotic war machines join the hunt, intent upon capturing Gunther's new technological breakthrough. To make matters worse, the entire underground world has become unstable. But Braedon's greatest challenge may come from the forces striving for his beliefs, and his soul.
