The year 2025 marked a season of healing; God fully restored and redeemed my life. He took everything that was broken and made it whole. He met me in places where I was consistently triggered by hurt and taught me to trust in Him alone. He taught me how to fully surrender, even as I continue to journey through hardship.
With each passing year, I continue to discover my strength as God molds me into who He desires me to be, so that I may reflect His love and light into a deeply wounded world.
The purpose of this memoir is to reach those who have been hurt by others, to remind them that redemption and restoration are possible through Jesus, through forgiveness, understanding, and the grit of knowing who you are at your core when you choose to surrender your life to Jesus rather than follow the ways of the world.
For those who feel they have been hurt by the church, the church did not hurt you; broken people within the church hurt you. We have all fallen short, and we are all sinners.
Jesus understands you; He sees you, and He desires to have a relationship with you. Though life's circumstances may bring you to your knees, His purpose through them is to teach you to depend on him fully and to grow closer to Him.
It is, of course, our choice - to choose Him or ourselves.
I may not fully understand why I have suffered so deeply, but I know my story will impact the lives of many who have been abused, are being abused or find themselves living as someone they were never meant to be.
