The author says: I am not in any sense an 'academic religious scholar' who has devoted decades of his life to the subject. So those readers who want every "i" dotted and every "t" crossed and to find material written in a way that suggests 'academia', or for that matter some new 'revelation' derived from some ancient manuscript, should look elsewhere. What I am, is a sensible individual who even as a child had the commonsense to never for one second fall for the 'crazy' zealous and guilt ridden teachings of the Christian Church. In this book readers will find is plenty of simple and easy to read explanations of the origins of Christianity and the sad and shameful truth of how over its history it has directly or indirectly abused billions of people. Read this book if you dare.
