The cover for issue 33 has been created by Argentinian artist and 3dtotal favourite, Gretel Lusky. She is an incredibly popular illustrator and comic-book artist, and she shares her expert insights in this issue with an interview and step-by-step of her cover-creation process. Elsewhere, Canadian illustrator Dan Gartman shows us how he creates his stylized character designs, while Athena Dela Victoria, an illustrator from the Philippines, brings a medieval knight to life in six easy steps. Plus German artist Meike Schneider draws inspiration from classic fairy tales to create a brand-new character.

Gretel Lusky is an Argentinian illustrator and comic-book artist currently based in the UK. She illustrated her very first graphic novel Primer for DC Comics and worked on DC’s Flash Facts and IDW’s Marvel Action: Chillers, amongst others. Between freelancing, Gretel loves to work on her personal art, creating whimsical stories and colourful illustrations often inspired by nature, maritime imagery, and fantasy characters.
