Captain McCool

Like many children around the globe young Josh McCool dreams of one day becoming a pilot. His all-consuming fascination with flying leads to his own well-planned yet unsuccessful attempt to fly, and the realisation his home made contraptions were not the way to achieve his dream. He joins a group of like-minded friends and together they tour the airport, meet crew members and experience the ins and outs of the industry they are so passionate about. With hard work and persistence Josh finally experiences the exhilaration of flight with the support and comradery of his friends.

Over the years the group achieve their dreams of becoming Airline Pilots and Josh can proudly call himself Captain McCool. Captain McCool is the first book of a series which aims to showcase the exciting and bustling aviation industry in a light-hearted, entertaining manner. About the Author

Based in Adelaide, Natasha is a mother of two and a first time children’s book author. Having spent 15 years in the aviation industry, she experienced firsthand the fascination that people of all ages and backgrounds have with flying. From the aircraft themselves, the staff that crew them, and the hustle of tarmac activity, children particularly are delighted from the moment they step inside an airport.

Inspiration to turn a concept conceived over 10 years ago into a reality came from Natasha’s very own family of mini plane spotting enthusiasts. She saw an opportunity to engage children in an industry that is loved yet underrepresented in the children’s book market. With Captain McCool series, Natasha hopes to showcase the amazing aviation industry in an engaging and light-hearted manner with characters who are strong, reliable and conscientious, and in a spirit of good comradery.
