It's Friday, June 26, 2015, and twenty-four-year-old Jan Conway has a date tomorrow night. A coworker, Connie Dale, suggested she get some new outfits at a place called Breeds. When she left the store, her life changed. She was now in the year 2211. Twenty-two years earlier, a comet had passed close to the earth and caused all the females to become sterile. Jan and other women, called breeders, were brought through a time machine to ensure the continuation of the human race.
