Let me share a poem that I wrote for the women at Bradenton Transition Center who have been working on breaking their family cycles of addiction and inspiring others. They have also learned that no matter what you have done in life there is still time to change.
I AM
I see change and a new life,
I see leaving here a new mom and a new wife.
I look out my window and see the moon and stars,
I look out my window and see no bars.
To outsiders I look very small,
To insiders I walk very tall.
I am unity,
Yet I am a community.
