He has illustrated many highly acclaimed books, most recently the anthology of African stories with Beverley Naidoo, Who is King?, and is the recipient of many international awards, including the Golden Apple at the Bratislava Biennale for Illustration and a Silver Medal in the Japanese Noma Concours. Piet Grobler lives in South Africa.
Industry Reviews

"In her usual animated fashion with plenty of dialogue, Dianne Hofmeyr has refashioned this folk tale from the African continent that is a lively read aloud. Grobler's scratchy characters are a mix of endearing humour and downright scariness. They certainly snare the attention...each scene offers a wealth of quirky detail to pore over."
