"The book's unmistakable message about the many things that men (and boys) can and should be proud of being: playful, pretty, and powerful, all at once." Booklist (starred review)

âVery funny. . . fantastically beautiful. . . A great book for an uncle to buy his niece or nephew... especially if bearded!â BookTrust

"A fun book to share with little ones. The illustrations and positive male role models are especially commendable." Inclusive Books for Children

This highly original picture book for bedtime celebrates those less-immediate family members who children may not live with, but who always show up and give their time, energy and love.

Young Eli gets to spend a whole day with his eight adoring uncles – each with a different personality and unique, enviable beard! With lively words from an Emmy-nominated TV writer and bright, imaginative pictures from an award-winning illustrator, join Eli as he says his goodnights one by one after a busy day of treasured time together.
