At the time of writing this chapter, I was pushing on sixty-four years of age and I was finally free.
I have no one to impress and no one to perform for. I am not afraid of death anymore. If I die right now, it is ok with me. God has already done so much more for me than I've ever deserved, and I know where I'm going.
The Word of God says to work out your salvation in fear and trembling. Although I backslide every other day, I repent daily and strive to keep under His grace. A big part of my healing is winning souls with this testimony.
There were many times I nearly lost my faith and even questioned if this whole Christianity thing was not just a giant con-job, created by people to cling to, to justify the lives we live; whether it's just our inner fear that makes us know right from wrong, we call it conscience but God calls it the Holy Ghost.
I broke through that threshold and had found the open line by being gritty and experiencing those principles which He had given us as guidelines. The most important being the law of reciprocity, which basically means: you reap what you sow - starting from Genesis to the book of Revelation. God's grace and forgiveness are for real; the worst things that could've happened to me has, and I'm still around.
