Between Lectures

Dr. Rose Andrews has done everything right.

Newly appointed assistant professor of economics, she arrives on campus determined to build a life defined by purpose, discipline, and clarity. What she doesn't expect is to collide-literally-with Philip Marks, a serene and observant man who seems to appear at the most inopportune moments.

Moments that matter.

Rose doesn't know that Philip isn't just another academic wandering the university halls. He's the new dean-and the son of the chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Rose, for her part, is no stranger to power. She's the daughter of the President's Chief Economic Advisor, raised in environments where decisions shape markets, policies, and nations.

Their worlds don't just intersect at work.

They collide everywhere.

As professional boundaries blur and self-awareness deepens, Rose must learn the difference between ambition and alignment, between impressing and being truly seen. Philip, equally cautious, understands that some relationships carry consequences that go far beyond the heart.

Set in the world of higher education and economic power,  Between Lectures  is a slow-burn romance about discernment, restraint, and conscious choice. It explores how influence is built-not loudly, but deliberately-through institutions, leadership, and private decisions that shape one's legacy.

This isn't a story about chasing love.

It's a story about recognizing it-when it finally arrives ready to be built.
