HOW DOES ONE LIVE IN A WORLD WITHOUT INHERENT MEANING?

Tucker is not broken. He is awake. While others anchor themselves to faith, family, and routine, Tucker is consumed by a single question: If existence is arbitrary, why endure it at all? Suicide lingers in his mind-not as an impulse, but as a philosophy. Assimilation feels dishonest. Comfort feels artificial. And yet, doing nothing feels worse.

A chance encounter at a late-night diner draws him into a church-based support group for survivors of sexual abuse. There he meets Wylie-sharp, wounded, defiant-whose life has been irrevocably shaped by rape. Her trauma is not theoretical. It breathes. It bleeds. It endures.

For the first time, Tucker's abstract nihilism collides with embodied suffering. If God is dead and justice is a human invention, what then becomes of evil? Of responsibility? Of revenge?

As his bond with Wylie deepens, Tucker reaches a radical conclusion: if meaning does not exist, it must be created-and imposed. When he kills the man who raped her, he does not see himself as a monster, but as something else entirely: a man rejecting passivity, forging value through action in a world that offers none.

bermensch Evolved is a dark philosophical novel about despair, agency, and the dangerous seduction of self-created morality.
