The relationship between the State of Israel and the Jewish people with the Arabs in and around the country is one of the most controversial issues in the world today. In this book you will get an insight into the history of the Jewish state as it has developed from its beginnings to the present day.

The first chapter begins in 1945, three years before the State of Israel saw the light of day, and lays the foundation for understanding why and how Israel has become what we see today. The book covers the entire history of modern Israel up to 2009, when Israel and Hamas clashed in and around the Gaza Strip.

This book takes you into the daily life of new immigrants and permanent residents, Jews and Arabs, the man in the street and government ministers, and of course Israeli and Arab soldiers and terrorists on the battlefields of various wars.
