This book is geared as a complement to school texts. This book provides explanations of concepts to a clarity and depth that you will be hard-pressed to find in other books. As one example: Word-problems tend to be a sticking point with many students. The explanations for word-problems that I have come across in other books do not compare favorably with how I have approached word-problems using my "balance concept in math" technique. In particular, my "balances as fractions" technique allows one to solve word-problems extremely easily and almost mechanically.
I have provided detailed explanations in the areas of Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Coordinate Geometry and Basic Science that the student will find easier to comprehend and learn from, than what would be found in other texts on basic math and science.
The language of math is a shorthand notation for expressing simple and complex ideas succinctly. This book will help the student to enjoy the language of math and science because this book will help the student to understand the language of math and science.
