At the beginning of the Mexican Revolution, members of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), known as "Wobs," joined the Revolution in the Baja Peninsula. What resulted was a mixed rebel army of native Mexicans, Indians, and American Wobs who captured several towns along the American-Mexican border, including Tijuana. They did so in order to jointly create a socialist co-operative commonwealth in the Baja. This is the story of that socialist revolution within the larger Mexican Revolution.
