About the Author

Margaret Hamilton Am has been involved with children and their books all her working life, as a children's librarian, a bookseller, a publisher and a parent. Her publishing career began at Hodder & Stoughton, where she was a Company Director responsible for their entire Australian list. But children's books were her first love, so in 1987, Margaret and her husband Max set up their publishing company, Margaret Hamilton Books, specialising in children's books. The company mission statement was: Children deserve the best of everything, especially books. Margaret Hamilton Books achieved considerable international success and a reputation for high quality books, especially picture books.
