Astros

Luis has learned to live behind a helmet.

He breathes through filters, avoids physical contact, and measures every gesture. Every part of his life follows the same logic: protection. His routines are precise, his environment is controlled, and nothing is left to chance.

Everything seems safe.

Until Mara crosses his path.

Her presence disrupts the fragile balance Luis has built around himself. What begins as a series of brief encounters slowly becomes something deeper, forcing him to confront the fears, memories, and invisible barriers that have shaped his life.

Set in a near-future Madrid that feels both familiar and unsettling, Astros is an intimate story about isolation, identity, mental health, and the human need for connection. Blending emotional science fiction, quiet dystopia, psychological fiction, and romance, it explores the protections we create in order to survive-and what happens when those same protections begin to separate us from life itself.

Tender, reflective, and deeply human, Astros is a novel about fear, vulnerability, transformation, and the difficult possibility of letting someone in.

Because sometimes feeling safe is not the same as feeling alive.
