DCI Robson believes he is hunting a kidnapper ...

Away from his posting in London, Robson is asked to lead an investigation in the South West of England. But what begins as a baffling local kidnapping mystery, soon escalates into something far more sinister.

In pursuit of the perpetrators, DCI Robson joins forces with Inspector Emma Wilson and the rest of the regional CID team. Together, they attemptto make sense of the lack of evidence or motive, eventually getting drawn to the tiny island of Steep Holm, in the Bristol Channel.

As the investigation progresses, Robson, Wilson and their colleagues find themselves facing something far beyond normal detective work. Unthinkable connections lead them to a conspiracy, so great it could change the course of humanity.

The question is, can they intervene before it’s too late to prevent the appalling future that potentially lies ahead…

Arcam is the stunning debut thriller by Jason Minick, and is the first book in the DCI Robson series.

Industry Reviews

By Perrie Danielle on 20 April 2018: What a great read! Suspenseful throughout and never boring or slow, the pace is spot on. The story is intriguing and doesn’t disappoint and I liked the characters. All of the main players had depth and personality, even though the story took centre stage, which isn’t always easy to achieve. I liked Jack straight away and was invested from chapter 1. This isn’t my usual genre but I’ve been looking to diversify and if I can find more reads like this, I’ll be happy. I look forward to further work by Jason Minick. Thoroughly entertaining. I ALWAYS have a book on the go, never take a break. But this is the first for a long while that I've actually been eager to get back to when life gets in the way.

By Gemma on 19 April 2018 - This book is amazing: WOW.... having not read a book since I was probably at school some 17 years ago says I'm not a book reading sort of person, however i thought id give this ago and from the very 1st page i was hooked i struggled with a few of the big words but didn't let that put me off. I started on Monday evening and was so hooked didn't realise it was 12.30am. After putting my 4 children to bed on Tuesday I couldn't wait to get the book out again and continue reading, again 12.30am came whoops. Wednesday afternoon and i just couldnt wait untill evening so finished the last couple of chapters. I was literally hooked and couldnt put this book down such a fantastic read i thoroughly enjoyed it and can not wait for the next one. Well done Jason such a talented man. This would make an awesome TV serious.

By Sandra Victoria on 18 April: Riveting and a breathless page-turner. Absolutely stunning novel full of gripping twists and turns. I read it in two days and already looking forward to Minick's new release.

By Tara on 18 April 2018 - Gripping: This book had me gripped, so much so I completed it in 2 evenings. The many twists kept me engrossed and desperate to find out what was coming next. If you’re a James Patterson fan then this’ll be particularly right up your street. Can’t wait for the next one!

By Chris Elson on 8 April 2018 - A Cracking novel: A cracking novel even for those who aren’t generally book readers. There were times when I couldn’t put it down until I’d read the next chapter (or two). I love the way Jason gives you enough to work out what’s going on and then let’s your mind work out all the interconnections between characters.

By Judy Ann Sturtridge on 6 April 2018: I have just read this book I couldn't drop it loved it very exciting from the first chapter to the last I can't wait to read his next book full of twist and turns with wonderful views of the area .I would highly recommend this book

By Judy W on 2 April 2018 - A wonderful achievement for a first novel: An exciting and gripping thriller that keeps the reader guessing to the end. A wonderful achievement for a first novel. More please.

By Helen on 30 March 2018 - A beautifully written, ripping good page-turner!: This is a brilliant debut novel. I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down. Within the first couple of pages I encountered that “good book” conundrum of not wanting to stop reading while being hyper aware that you are fast running out of pages to read! With a clever storyline, engaging characters and subtle twists that keep you guessing right to the end, the book flowed effortlessly. Looking forward to reading more from this author - hope there isn’t too long a wait!

Jane on 2 April 2018 - Loved it!: Arcam drew me in from the very beginning and kept me totally gripped throughout. A great story line, encompassing believable characters, and a considerable amount of twists and turns. A real page turner until the end. Highly recommend.
