Andy Cope
"If all else fails, just try and live up to being the person your dog thinks you are."
Andy Cope describes himself as a qualified teacher, author, happiness expert, and learning junkie.
He has spent the last 10 years studying positive psychology, happiness, and flourishing, culminating in a Loughborough University PhD thesis. Andy appreciates that his “Dr of Happiness” label is a bit cheesy, but it gives him an important media platform. In times of rising depression and an epidemic of “busyness,” he believes there has never been a more appropriate time to raise the happiness agenda.
He is a best-selling author, writing books that address how to be happier, more motivated, and positive. He has written a series for Crown House aimed at teachers and also moonlights as a children’s author. His research feeds into a training course called “The Art of Being Brilliant,” which has been delivered to rave reviews around the world.
Andy is passionate about motivation and positive psychology and aims to influence people to think differently in order to be happier.
He has worked with large businesses, including Microsoft, DHL, Pirelli, Pfizer, Hewlett Packard, Astra Zeneca, and IKEA. Recently, he has tailored his workshops for children and teachers and now delivers to audiences from age 8 upwards.
He writes in positive psychology, happiness, self-help/personal development, teacher training resources, and children's books. His work focuses on motivation, wellbeing, emotional intelligence, and practical strategies to flourish.
