As I listened to various narratives of my family's heritage, it became a legacy to me, a refreshing story, but a heartbreaking experience of one so dear to me, my grandmother Isabella Lee Harris who paved the way for all of her children to honor patience, kindness, and give a deaf ear to anger, and discord.
