Due to its high melting point, high thermal and chemical stability, high photocatalytic activity and non-toxicity, spinel aluminate has been widely used in light helmet, infrared window, photocatalyst and light emitting devices. In particular, aluminate has strong radiation resistance and is a potential candidate for the space station's lighting system. The spinel-type aluminates were confirmed that it can be applied in treating wastewater pollution and photo-degradation of pollutants. Through experiments and theoretical analysis, the internal correlation mechanism between photoluminescence and photocatalysis is revealed. Through the study of various synthesis parameters, doping methods and heterostructure construction methods, it provides technical support for the synthesis of high-performance optical emission devices and photocatalysts with special needs.
