In which Albert cleans house, buys a painting, rides a fire-engine, goes sailing, visits the zoo, and kicks off a football match with his cousin Angus from Scotland. Who's also a bear. But the joke(?) - compare Paddington et al - is everyone's blitheness: policemen and firemen, athletes and barge-captain, grocer, the lady upstairs all treat Albert as a human and he acts and reacts in kind. Oddly, you meet him in conversation with a horse; when you leave him he's thinking of buying a kilt. . . and it's long past the time to Pooh-pooh the whole episodic take-off. (Kirkus Reviews)
