ABC Animals!

'L' is for lion, prowling across the page! 'G' is for a giraffe, ambling along! 'W' is for whale, jumping in and out of the waves! Marrying the ABCs with the magic of Scanimation and the excitement of a child's visit to the zoo, ABC ANIMALS! is an alphabet book unlike any other. With four letters and four corresponding animal names and moving images per spread (except for the first spread, with a horizontal snapping alligator, and the last spread, which features one large image with multiple animals moving across the page at once), ABC ANIMALS! presents the alphabet – and Scanimation! – in a whole new way.

Short rhyming text opens and closes the book, and the pages between introduce each upper- and lower-case letter and animal name so children learn their letters but also meet a host of zoo animals and see how each one uniquely moves as they turn the page. ABC ANIMALS! makes learning the alphabet wildly fun and completely interactive.

About the Author

Rufus Butler Seder is the inventor of Lifetiles, glass-tiled murals that appear to come to life when the viewer walks by; he’s installed them at the Smithsonian, Sea World, Union Station, and other museums, aquariums, train stations and ocean liners around the world. He is also the founder of EyeThink, Inc., a company that develops and produces a line of toys and gifts using the technologies he’s invented. Mr. Seder lives in Boston.
