First Lieutenant Vasco Rocha, Agencia Espacial Brasileira, is a man on a mission. A mission to the largest known asteroid in the universe to dispel rumors and conjecture that three previous failed missions were the victims of paranormal phenomenon. A poster child for a pragmatic approach to life, he is convinced that the spacecraft and crews were lost to human error or equipment failure. But life takes a sudden departure from reality when he discovers his own latent supernatural powers to transcend the bounds of time and place. His pragmatism, military training, and everything else he holds dear to life come into question in the public park of a town called Paradise on asteroid Souchon-36.
