Set in a future more present than our own, in which humans had destroyed the Earth and colonized Mars, Death, tasked with punishing and saving countless peoples and civilizations since the invention of time, has suddenly decided to wipe out all of humanity. Much to his surprise, his 'superiors' at the Divine Bureaucracy - that council of old fools who love misplacing their labels of 'good' and 'evil' - have accused our dear friend of committing a terrible crime! He must justify his decision or himself be destroyed.
This is his account. Join him as he takes you through the last days of the Martians, where politicians, dancers, corporate slaves, hopeless lovers, and cult leaders all feature in a society that had consumed even itself. Through time and space, you will witness the events that led him to make his grand and beautiful decision. Was there hope for humanity after all? Death, more than anyone, knows that apocalypses and regrets can't mix!
