Even a smart woman can make a foolish mistake. But when reality hits you in the face - what you do next matters. Jo discovers that her increasingly unhappy marriage with a persuasive, younger man after her previous husband's death was never anything more than a con. Now he's teamed up with a wacky, tacky, but rich, mistress in a plan to cheat Jo and use her in their new plan to con others! With her peace, freedom, and money on the line, Jo plots to recover what's rightfully hers. Together with her highly inventive friends it's controlled chaos and a wild ride that races back and forth from Oxford to Memphis and right up to the delicious finish. Turnabout is fair play, and often, unintentionally, irrepressibly funny! At its heart, this story isn't so much about revenge—although recovering your hard-earned money and seeking a divorce from a louse are understandable goals—it's about the kind of friends who are there through thick and thin, for better or worse, in good times or bad.
