What begins as a road trip is, for Mara, a gamble of the heart.
She convinces David Bennet—quiet, reserved, and seemingly unreachable—to let her join him on a cross-country drive. What David doesn't know is that Mara has her own reason for tagging along: a growing crush she hopes might become something more.
Haunted by past heartbreak, David has built walls high enough to keep anyone out. Yet in the small, ordinary moments—roadside breakfasts, laughter on coastal cliffs, quiet nights under starlit skies—Mara begins to slip past his defenses. For the first time in years, he finds himself daring to hope again.
But trust is fragile, and both carry wounds that threaten to resurface.
From the bustling piers of Seattle to the wide-open quiet of the Rockies, they must discover whether love can be built on a foundation of silence—and whether two people, scarred but searching, can truly find home in each other.
Blending heartfelt romance, the adventure of a road trip, and the emotional depth of self-discovery, The Silence Between Us is a moving story about risk, resilience, and the unexpected places love can take us.
