Time is unraveling for the world of Genoa. The evil of the Moonvest has arrived and danger is at hand. Long ago, a wizard's mistake shattered the balance of the realm, and unless it is set right and the queen restored, all life will be swallowed by the coming storm of war and fire.
When her parents are murdered in a blaze of treachery, young Tress was thrusted into a burden no mortal should bear. From the ashes of her grief, she must rise to claim the throne and unite a kingdom steeped in magic and fear. But King Gillard, the tyrant who covets magic, stalks her every move with blades, spies, and whispered lies.
Tress's path is bloodstained and perilous yet hope clings to her heart. Returned to her is the scholar whose part of her past and brings hope to the land, and also the dragon warrior whose courage is needed in the up-and-coming battles. Only when these three are united can Genoa stand against the tide of destruction.
The hour of reckoning approaches. To falter is to watch the magical world of Genoa burn.
