Baron Samedi is one of the spirits of Haitian Voodoo.
He is the spirit of the dead, sex and resurrection, and spends most of his time in the invisible realm of voodoo spirits.
He stands at the crossroad between the worlds of the living and the dead where he greets the souls of the recently departed, and leads them by the hand into the underworld, as it is only Samedi who can accept an individual into the realm of the dead.
In voodoo imagery, he is usually depicted with a white top hat, black tuxedo, and dark glasses.
Resembling a corpse dressed and prepared for burial in the Haitian style, and has a white, skull-like face.
